Welcome
We are glad you are interested in learning about St. John United Church. If you are seeking a church home, we hope you will consider connecting with the life of our community.
SJU extends full participation in the life of our congregation to everyone, regardless of race, gender, age, sexual orientation, disability, economic status and different theological positions consistent with the traditions of the Presbyterian Church (USA) and the United Methodist Church.
All members are invited to take on leadership roles in the congregation.
Who We Are:
Vision Statement
We are a progressive, inclusive Christian community, strengthened by the diversity of our members and our faith traditions, that comes together to worship God, to further spiritual growth, and to minister to each other, the community, and the world through active Christian involvement.
Our Mission Is ...
-
To worship God;
-
To support and nurture each other;
-
To provide a foundation for our spiritual life;
-
To empower our members in ministry;
-
To celebrate our diversity and promote inclusiveness for all;
-
To partner with and advocate for victims of social injustice;
-
And to share the good news of Jesus Christ and invite others to do the same.
Worship With Us
We celebrate creative Christian worship in a simple setting.
