SJU: So Join Us

Every Sunday at 10:30 am

(instructions on how to join in are to the right!)

Greetings to everyone at your respective Outposts!

The SJU VBS Team has been continuing preparation, including pre-project planning, for our journey To Mars and Beyond! As with any undertaking such as this, the health and safety of our crew members and leaders is a high priority. We have decided that the best way to protect our Voyagers AND accomplish our mission is to conduct our journey via ZOOM meeting. So now

 “V” is for Virtual (as in Virtual Bible School)

- We still need you to register your kids who will have completed Kindergarten through 5th grade before the deadline - July 1, 2020 so that we can send you the Zoom link and password.

- We plan to provide a packet of supplies for mission-related activities to those who register by the deadline. Our intent is that you will get the packet in time to “quarantine” it for several days prior to use. Still working out the delivery method.

- Click on the link below to register. If you already sent in your registration form – no need to re-submit this one. If you haven’t registered yet, we would love to hear from you soon.

We hope that you will be able to join us!

We are glad you are interested in learning about St. John United Church. If you are seeking a church home, we hope you will consider connecting with the life of our community.

SJU extends full participation in the life of our congregation to everyone, regardless of race, gender, age, sexual orientation, disability, economic status and different theological positions consistent with the traditions of the Presbyterian Church (USA) and the United Methodist Church.

All members are invited to take on leadership roles in the congregation.

Who We Are:
Vision Statement

We are a progressive, inclusive Christian community, strengthened by the diversity of our members and our faith traditions, that comes together to worship God, to further spiritual growth, and to minister to each other, the community, and the world through active Christian involvement.

Our Mission Is ...

  • To worship God;

  • To support and nurture each other;

  • To provide a foundation for our spiritual life;

  • To empower our members in ministry;

  • To celebrate our diversity and promote inclusiveness for all;

  • To partner with and advocate for victims of social injustice;

  • And to share the good news of Jesus Christ and invite others to do the same.

Worship With Us

We celebrate creative Christian worship in a simple setting. We encourage members to take an active part in the worship experience as we draw from Protestant traditions and the multicultural backgrounds of our members. We choose to worship in a building shared with other congregations, enriching our spiritual experience!
